Anime Baka is Moving

Yes, you heard it right.. I am finally shifting to Wordpress.. But this isn't the original free Wordpress site where most do go to.. My brother got his friend to give him some server space to create our very own Team Blog name; Kyouran Kyodai (Frenzy Brothers in Japanese)..

Initially, I thought of simply moving to a free Wordpress blog but since it is free, there are alot of limitations which I find it frustating, eg. Unable to put in the Miku Clock and putting embedded video onto the site..

Although I have shifted to Wordpress, I have to take my time and move every post that I see fit to be placed at the Kyouran Kyodai site.. I surely need help from my brother to speed up the process..

Moving to a new site will take a while..

Anyway, here is our blog banner, do put it up.. ^^
Well, I guess this is the end of Anime Baka then.. I am not going to close down Anime Baka yet, so you can take your time and read them.. Maybe I'm gonna need Yoko to help me shift some stuffs along.. ^^

Ornate October Figure Shoot Preview..

It was one of those days during each month where Team Blue will organise an event.. This month was the "Figurative Story" where people tell stories with whatever pictures they took during each photoshoot.. This week was the 2nd photoshoot held for this month and which me and my brother, Infestor51 attended..

We couldn't attend the previous figure shoot the week before due to Hari Raya outing.. Anyway, in this week Figure Shoot, I brought along my figurine, Saika S. Farnese.. The pictures I took of her looks great, better than what I've expected..

I will upload every picture I took during the figure shoot on photobucket very soon.. Im currently on medication but I will have to see a doctor very soon since my asthma is getting worse..

BTW, I just got my Luchinni from Chibihien a few weeks after he got it from Hobby Link Japan.. I shall post a figure review of her, after I do a preview of figma Miku and GSC 1/8 Miku..
I shall wait for the night pictures of Saika S. Farnese from Wcloudx a.k.a. Jon so that I can do an event coverage of it.. ^^

I wish all the best for those going for a karaoke session later today.. I don't think me and Infestor51 will be able to make it.. Pity.. =(

Ornate October Fantasy Figurine

Later on today, Team Blue is going to have its second "Figurative Story" Photoshoot.. The event will be held at both Japanese and Chinese Garden.. Firstly, during the afternoon, it will be held at Japanese Garden since the scenery is very beautiful if you can find those spots..

Then during the night, we will be heading down to Chinese Garden since the Japanese Garden closes about 7pm there.. Anyway, looking at the theme chosen for today's figure shoot; "Fantasy", I thought of bringing along a figurine..
NO!! Not Nendo Miku.. Well, I would like to bring her along but she isn't suitable for a "Fantasy" Shoot.. Anyways, as shown in the picture at the top, I shall bring along the first figurine I got; Saika S. Farnese from the game, Pastel Chimes Continue.. ^^

Even though I begun working as an intern for a company, I do spend some time to do the Vocaloid Weekly as per normal.. For this week Vocaloid Weekly, we get to see some great new songs by various music composers unlike the past few weeks where only a small handful which I found very interesting..

The music sung by Hatsune Miku sounds so beautiful and it is perfectly fit for a RPG game.. The picture of the Kagamine Twins together with Hatsune Miku riding a something looks pretty.. ^^

17 - 【初音ミク】『 Wish 』【オリジナル曲】: A very nice and catchy music sung by Hatsune Miku.. The music together with the keyboard playing along sounds so soothing that it may help make you feel relax especially during the rush hour on a public transport for people like me.. xD Anyway, the picture of Hatsune Miku in this video looks nice.. I need to find the original picture of that.. XD

09 - 【初音ミク】「みくみくちぇっく♪-Full ver-」【オリジナル】: A very hip song that have you dancing along with the tune of the music.. I especially love the chorus as it is very catchy and the tune will let you enjoy the song even when you are feeling down, maybe even cheering you up.. I can see a video for this coming very soon since this song is beautifully made.. I added this song into my MP3 player..

07 - 【アレンジ】悪ノ召使をゴシックにしてみた【鏡音レンオリジナル曲】: This song by the Kagamine Twins is simply amazing.. This song is 100% similar to the song 【鏡音レン】悪ノ召使【中世物語風オリジナル】 just that the song is played slower,which sounds way nicer IMO.. The song is very mesmerizing, even the chorus of the song which will leave you look with well, amazement.. xD

04 - [初音ミク]僕みたいな君　君みたいな僕[オリジナル曲]: A very sweet and beautiful song sung by Hatsune Miku.. The song starts out slow and then the drum beats together with the guitars will join in.. Even though the song is slow for some,I do find this song very nice indeed.. A must listen to all.. ^^

Now let us move on to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 【鏡音リン・レン】置き去り月夜抄【童話風オリジナル】: A very catchy and mezmerizing song sung by the Kagamine Twins.. The song is beautifully made and I simply love the simple yet nice drum beat which plays along the song nicely.. I love Kagamine Len's voice during the chorus as the rest of the song is mostly sung by Kagamine Rin.. I do find the video very nice and cool.. Simple yet unique.. =3

2nd Place - 【初音ミク】よっこらせっくす【鏡音リン・レン】: What can I say about this song? Well, it is.. BEAUTIFUL!! Yes, you heard e right, well.. Only the music only.. The song sounds very catchy.. Ok, now about the video itself.. It is WRONG >9000!!.. Well, who knows, people do get nosebleed just by looking at the "Sexy" Kaito and Gackpoid.. xD

1st Place - 鏡音レンオリジナル曲　「鏡音レンの暴走（LONG VERSION）」: Same as last week, the song is nice yet very random.. I do find this song very catchy,especially at the beginning of the song.. It will be awesome to see a videoof the whole song instead of just a static image transition.. it sure will look quite hectic, epsecially with Kagamine Len singing the song very fast.. -_-;;

This week's songs are mostly full of WINs.. The music sounds so beautiful that some will really amaze you till you want it placed so badly into your MP3 player or on a CD so that you can listen to them in your own vehicle.. Songs like 【初音ミク】『 Wish 』【オリジナル曲】are quite nice to listen to while some like 【アレンジ】悪ノ召使をゴシックにしてみた【鏡音レンオリジナル曲】 can make it to the TOP 3 spots for th upcoming Vocaloid Weekly #55..

Well, what I do understand about the song 鏡音レンオリジナル曲　「鏡音レンの暴走（LONG VERSION）」 getting the TOP spot sounds reasonable since the song is quite catchy if you listen to the song closely.. But what I don't understand is the song 【初音ミク】よっこらせっくす【鏡音リン・レン】where we have 2 almost naked males (Kaito and Gackpoid) shaking their hips and running here and there.. But I think their respective fans don't mind such small stuffs.. xD

The first week of my internship is almost over and Im feeling kinda down.. Well, if I do have the mood and time, I will blog about the reasons for that soon.. Anyway, I get to learn some new stuff on Java while I apply some skills I learn during my studies in Singapore Polytechnic..

Well, thats all I have to blog about for this week Vocaloid Weekly.. I didn't have enough time to complete it before 12.30am since I cam home late and my room was abit messy so cleaning up took awhile.. Anyway, Im gonna take a rest now so that I have enough energy to go to work later today.. ^^

World is Mine by RYO feat. Hatsune Miku and Tissue Hime

Being a Hatsune Miku fan, I went in search for any nice Hatsune Miku-related videos on Youtube and found this video of the famous Tissue Hime; A guitarist who cosplay as Yuki from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.. He was doing a Hatsune Miku song by RYO called "World is Mine", playing his bass guitar..

His bass guitar playing is awesome.. Well, I do love how well the video is made, following some scenes from the original "World is Mine" MV.. Now, I would like to present to you the video.. ^^

I hope you get to enjoy the video by Tissue Hime.. And guess what? He will get to appear on her upcoming TV commercial for the cellphone novel Kimi No Sei with other popular niconico performers Shachou, nayuta and Sandai guitar damashii.. Thanks to Mikufan for this great video...

Miku Project DIVA At TGS'08

Recently, during the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 08, Sega showed a live feed which showcase all the new games that will be release onto the market in the coming months and also next year.. Thanks to Kevinay for providing the link, I reserved some free time to take a look at the Hatsune Miku Project DIVA showcase..

The event was called 「咲と麻美の恋スルラジオ in 東京ゲームショウ（架空）」, which means “Saki and Asami’s love Sururaji in the Tokyo Game Show (Fictional)”. The event was held on October 12, at 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Japan Time) in the Tokyo Game Show SEGA Stage, and was limited to only 300 person...
I waited about 1 hour for the Hatsune Miku Project DIVA showcase to begin.. Unfortunately during that time, here is what I got, LIVE!! X3

LIVE feed is "LIVE"...

Yeah, its either the cameraman or someone from Sega who didn't want to let the online viewers like me to see what they were showing to the 300 people.. What a waste of time and effort for Miku fans, including me; The Miku Guardian..

Fortunately, Dengeki was kind enough to take some shots of the Miku Project DIVA showcase during the TGS.. There were alot of great info just by looking at the pics.. More on that below.. As for now, take a look at them.. ^^
Some new nice details were released by Saki Fujita, Hatsune Miku’s voice actress, and Asami Shimoda, Kagamine Rin and Len’s voice actress... 2 for the price of one.. Wish I was there.. xD
Sega showed Miku’s smooth 3D movement in the game... She looks cool.. I seriously need a live feed for that..
Next, both Seiyuus showed the custom made clothings that will be available in the game.. Some of them looks very pretty IMO, especially the Nekomimi costume (2 pics below).. xD

Now comes the best part.. Saki Fujita and Asami Shimoda announced to everyone that Miku will not be alone in Miku's Project DIVA..
Reason is that SEGA has decided to add in Kagamine Rin and Len into the game.. Looks better than the 3D Miku they showed a while back.. Well, we have to see the Kagamine Twins in action to find out.. ^^

Whatever company made those Miku and Kagamine Rin figurines, I want them NAO!!

Well, thats it from the "LIVE" feed of Miku Project DIVA.. I hope you all got a chance to see the pictures since the LIVE feed didnt show all, especially this game.. Well, its now time for me to go back to sleep..

First Day of Job

Well, I just got my posting at a company near Paya Lebar Rd called NexLabs recently.. I'm currently working on a project (Yes, I was given on 1st day of work) and I am having some minor difficulty doing it since it requires Java which I have forgotten about it since 2 years back.. -_-;

But the good thing is that I do have some recollection of what I did 2 years ago on Java.. I will do my best during my internship and well, learn from the work experience.. Sadly, there isn't any females working at the company.. =3

Fortunately, I will still use some of my spare time to watch anime and do my regular blogging.. Till then, I need to get some sleep.. Nite everyone.. ^^

Vocaloid Weekly 53 - Wild Randomness

I thought as the new Vocaloid Weekly comes, it will be filled with beautiful and nice songs that will mesmerize you.. In this week however, the ranking is filled with wild randomness songs.. What do I mean by that? Well, to put it this way; Songs which have nice music but weird video or VICE VERSA..

Well, there are some good songs in the rankings such as 【初音ミク】　RGB　【オリジナル】, 【鏡音レン】Imitator【オリジナル】 and 【MEIKO・KAITO】番凩【オリジナル】.. These songs have proven themselves as nice songs with a nice video that come with the whole song.. But the best part would be the TOP rank, but I would not spoil you the secret till you watch the video.. ^^;

30 - 初音ミク　が　オリジナル曲を歌ってくれたよ「恋は戦争」: Also known by everyone as Love is War, this song by Ryo has make a comeback to the TOP 30 rankings.. Although I find the song abit weird at the beginning, I grew too fond of it after some time listening to it.. Also the tune is very catchy, especially the chorus.. I also like the pictures of Miku holding the megaphone being surrounded by Bigger "Megaphones"..

23 - 【初音ミク】　RGB　【オリジナル】: Well, as the title says, this is the "Red, Green, Blue" song by Hatsune Miku.. A very unique and catchy song which will leave you mesmerize when you listen to it.. I do find the video very eye-catching; simple yet interesting.. Its about this guy (a.k.a. Kaito) watching Miku in the computer screen.. Well, do listen to this cute song.. ^^

15 - 鏡音レン】Imitator【オリジナル】: A song by Kagamine Len, this song have a very beautiful traditional music playing.. I love the melody of the song, very sweet to listen to.. I do love the art of Kagamine Len in this video.. This song is worth watching too and I've added this song into my MP3 for its uniqueness.. ^^

14 - 【鏡音レン】「SADISTIC VAMPIRE」【オリジナル曲】: A very slow and retro song by the Kagamine Twins.. Not my favourite but it has that catchy tune that will tempt you to listen to the whole song.. You either love or dislike this song, since it is hard to tell whether or not this song is nice or not..

04 - 【MEIKO・KAITO】番凩【オリジナル】: A duet by Kaito and Meiko, this song will amaze you with their beautiful voice and wonderful music.. The feudal age music will awe you when you listen to this song.. The picture of Kaito and Meiko together is very sweet indeed.. This is another song I would recommend everyone to listen to.. ^^

Now let us move on to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 【初音ミク】shiningray【オリジナル】: A very good song indeed, considering it managed to stay within the TOP 3 spots since last week.. This song, sung by Hatsune Miku will mesmerize you with her beautiful voice and nice rocking music.. This song is in need for a video to make it famous.. I do love this song and I have added this into my Miku song collection.. xD

2nd Place - 【初音ミク】よっこらせっくす【鏡音リン・レン】: I LOL'ed at this when I watch the video.. It is somewhat disturbing, especially to Gackpoid and Kaito's fans out there.. Simply put it, they are wearing Mankini (Male version of the Female Bikini) It is abit fugly to see them showing their butts at you.. Ok, Nuff said.. Well at least I find the song catchy, but thats all to it.. x.X

1st Place - 鏡音レンオリジナル曲　「鏡音レンの暴走（LONG VERSION）」: An insane song by the Kagamine Twins and also Hatsune Miku.. Well this is crazier than Miku's 初音ミクオリジナル曲　「初音ミクの消失（LONG VERSION）」 just by listening to this song.. I love how this song is made even in the midst of the craziness.. Although you might find this song weird by first impression, you will get to love this song pretty soon.. ^^

Like I've said before, this week Vocaloid Weekly is filled with random madness songs, some are which are good while some are well, just plain weird.. I took a liking to 鏡音レンオリジナル曲　「鏡音レンの暴走（LONG VERSION）」 after a while of listening to it.. I do hope it gets to stay in 1st Place for at least another week since its pretty nice indeed.. We will never know till the next Vocaloid Weekly arrives.. ^^

Well, this time, my eyes got hurt when I saw 【初音ミク】よっこらせっくす【鏡音リン・レン】.. I seriously think that the person who made it has a fetish for Kaito and Gackpoid.. Well, I think I need to avoid that song for while now.. =3

Hawt Wizard in Diablo 3

Hawt Wizard is Hawt..

After a few months of waiting, EA and Blizzard have both release their respective game trailers on their games; Red Alert 3 and Diablo 3 respectively.. After looking at the trailers, I felt that I should rather buy the game than go the "normal way".. Both games looks quite good judging at the gameplay trailers.. RA3 will be shown later.. ^^

BTW, lets take a look at Diablo 3's new trailer.. This trailer showcase the announcement of a new class for the game itself; The Wizard..
Judging by the trailer, it seems that the battle took place at the same church in Diablo 2; The Tristum Church..

The trailer later proceeds on to showing some of the Wizard's skills in-game.. Pretty amazing actually, especially the effects of the spells..

First up being the Lightning attack..

This is sooo Star Wars: Unleashed..

There is also the Freeze Shot.. Freezing a big monster is a big advantage since those monsters can deal high dmg..
But I do prefer doing the "Slow-Bubble" skill.. I love how she can push back the orbs after they slowed down in her "Slow-Bubble"..

Does the "Mothership" in Starcraft 2 rings a bell?

Last but not least, we get to see one of the bosses in Diablo 3; the Undead King.. This seems like the Undead King in Lord of The Ring.. I was tempted to play this game ASAP as soon as I saw the boss.. I wonder what kind of attacks he can do..

Will he have a 1-Hit Kill skill? We will never know till the game is out.. But before that, I need to get myself a new laptop to play any new games such as RA3 and Diablo 3..

X08 In Singapore

A new month just arrived and you will be glad to know that there is an event for you to attend.. What event izit? Well, it is the X08, the biggest XBox360 showcase ever to hit the region.. The event will be held at Marina Square Atrium which held other great events in the past such as EA Play 08 a couple of months back..

Surpassing 75k Hits

Well, it has been about 10 months since my blog made its debut to the online community and I am grateful to say that my blog has reach a traffic hit of >75000 ( 76200 hits at 2AM ).. Yes, thats right.. My blog traffic hits have just broken through the 75k mark..

Well, it has been a rollercoaster ride for me during some of the weeks; preparing for exams, planning for events and etc but in the end, I still manage to find some spare time to post about news and other information.. What a hectic schedule I had.. xD

Well, I would to give my thanks firstly to the Team Blue members who visited my blog all this while and comment( as prove of your visit lol ).. People like Panther, Anonymous Coward (AC), ClearTranquil, Gordon, Chong Mizunaga and Feidamu are some of the few Team Blue members often visited my website..

Of course, the rest of the Team Blue members did visit my blog, such as Konkona, Najica, my bro; TheFuzzy or Infestor51 and Yumeno.. Anyways, it was thanks to some of them that there is a slight increase in my website...

Next, I would like to thank AnimeNano and Danny Choo for bringing in more visitors to my site.. I was just added onto AnimeNano just a couple of weeks ago and I didn't even realise it till my brother told me a few days later.. =3

My post on DannyChoo about Team Blue events or other stuff, such as the Magical Battle Arena entry, the Coscon @ Games Convention Asia 08 and the Team Blue's Smexy September Figure Shoot resulted in alot of hits for a few weeks (800 per day).. I didn't expect to get that much hits because I posted about the trial game way before the official release of the game.. I think the game is kinda boring after seeing alot of people playing it.. =(

Then there are also the regular members who comment on some of my entries such as Phossil, Kozta-Boom and Divine Fang.. I would like to thank them for visiting my wonderful blog and I will repay them by visiting theirs too (I will do some commenting too.. xD )..

Doing the Vocaloid Weekly was simply worth it.. It was nice listening to those beautiful songs..

In the 3 months after I posted about getting my 30k hits, I made some improvements onto my blog such as the comment box and the summarization feature.. This helps make commenting easier for everybody, including me..

Well, I hope I will do my best to provide you all with whatever news that is worth posting and also news about anything Hatsune Miku; Cosplay, Games, etc.. I will continue posting the Vocaloid Weekly for the nice up-to-date songs from the Vocaloid family and also the monthly posting of the Hatsune Mix manga..

Till then, I shall let you all watch this video while I go and take a good long rest to prep myself for more unexpected thing to come.. ^^

Chalet At Aloha Loyang

Well, being back home is awesome.. Even though I was away for just almost 2 days, being back at home with my family is better.. Anyway, I did have fun while I was away at the chalet; Aloha Loyang, located at the northeastern part of Singapore..

Well, whats the fun without some nice pictures at Pasir Ris park.. While cycling around the park, I took some pictures around the park.. Although I didn't bring along my digital camera, I do have my N82 cameraphone with me.. ^^
Well, Pasir Ris Park does have a good view of the sea, providing a cool breeze to the area.. The weather on the 2nd day was fine, with a nice view of Malaysia..
I also spotted some "Kelong"; a form of offshore platform built predominantly with wood built by fishermen primarily for fishing purposes.. Its rare to see those at the seas of Singapore due to rapid urbanization.. =(
Being there got me thinking, how about having a Team Blue figure shoot here one of these months? Well, I'm not sure it is suitable for this October Grand Shoot due to travelling distance for people living in the West to the East..

What I know is that the location is quite empty during the evening even in the weekend in some parts of the park.. Well, I do love being in the park taking the pictures..

Pity I didnt bring along any figurines.. I should have brought along Nendo Miku so that I can take some shots of her there.. =3
In the end, I did enjoy my stay at the chalet, especially the BBQ.. xD
Well, to those who wants to see the map of Pasir Ris park, here you go.. I do wish having a figure shoot will be possible in future events.. ^^

Chalet Hiatus

I'll not be writing any news or Miku stuff today because I'll be on a day at the chalet at Aloha Loyang by the time this post is up... I'll do come back on the next day in time to do some blogging.. I do hope Miku won't feel lonely while I'm away.. :(

Metal Rage; A New Mechwarrior-Type Warfare

Browsing through MMOSite, me and my brother, Infestor51 chanced upon this new game company from South Korea called "GameHi".. Recently, they showcased all of their new 6 games that they are going to release all at once.. They are Project M (Metal Rage), Project L, Project E, Project A, Project D and Project K (Karcass Online)..

The one that fascinates both of us is this mech game called "Metal Rage"; A Robotic Online Action TPS.. Before I say more, here is the Promo video of the game:

Well, as the Promo video shows, its an online battle pitted against mechs.. Well, the design on the mechs look sleek and very futuristic but I remember seeing some parts of their design are taken from MechWarrior.. But heck, Mechwarrior is an old game.. ^^

Here is the backstory of the game:

In A.D. 2070, humans have struggled with one another in order to survive in the universe. To follow one's instinct and desires to survive, every human must join one of 3 large-scaled groups formed with the purpose of depriving the others of their powers to govern the world.

There are currently 4 types of robots in the game..

1st) A scout-type robot, agile and can eliminate enemies quickly..

2nd) A Heavy Mech with tanking abilities.. A frontline mech which has an ability to melee other mech opponents with its chainsaw and flamethrower..

3rd) An Engineer-Type Mech.. Ability to repair damaged mechs and is able to deploy into a stationary gun to spam against the enemy.. Weapon is usually a cannon-based..

4th) The most dangerous mech perhaps its the Spider Mech.. Has 2 cannons that can pulverized the enemies with one click of the button.. Has an ability to do sniping (as shown below) on faraway enemies..

Well, when this game comes out, I will get myself registered and play this awesome game.. This must be one of the coolest online mech game I've seen after I played Mechwarriors..

As another week passed, a new list of Vocaloid Weekly has arrived to show us some new songs that will amaze you.. Well, at least I get to post this before the week ends after a week of hell due to so many schedules clashing with one another.. Well, at least that will end today as I will be free to post more news on the blog..

Well, in this week Vocaloid Weekly, there is particular song composer who has just made famous due to most of his songs which he recently made.. Songs like 初音ミクオリジナル曲「Luminous Point」 and 初音ミクオリジナル曲「Scene」 were so nice that they have made it to the TOP 5 spots in this week Vocaloid Weekly #52.. More on that below..

29 - 初音ミクオリジナル曲「SoundScaper」: A very slow song which can either entice you to listen to the whole song or just turn you off.. For me, its the latter since I kinda got bored after listening to the chorus.. Well, I do applaud the guy for releasing so many songs which has almost all of his songs showcased in Vocaloid Weekly Top 30 rankings.. ^^

28 - 【初音ミク】憎悪の欲望【オリジナル】: A very fast-paced song as stated in last week Vocaloid Weekly.. I suddenly got hooked to this song after a few times playing it on my MP3 player.. The song is catchy while lsitening to the awesome tunes.. Not exactly called a great song with my standards.. Do try listening to this song, might be good.. ^^

18 - 初音ミクオリジナル曲「Four Signals」: Another song by the same person who made 初音ミクオリジナル曲「SoundScaper」; "OneRoom" as stated at his Piapro's page.. Another slow song which entice me when I watched the preview from Vocaloid Weekly.. The tune is very sweet and catchy.. I simply loved the chorus of the song, the melody of it is great.. A MUST WATCH for everyone..

10 - 鏡音リン・レン・ミクでオリジナル「きえないひとみ。」PV付き: A very beautiful song by Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len and Hatsune Miku.. As the song is about 6 minutes, each of them shared a time of about 2 minutes each, except for Kagamine Rin who joined Kagamine Len in his song too.. The song is very catchy, having the tune playing together with the song.. The details put into the video is superb and I simply love the effects.. Another MUST WATCH MV.. ^^

05 - 初音ミクオリジナル曲「Luminous Point」: Another song by OneRoom.. This song starts off as being very slow ad gradually picks up speed somewhere in near 1/3 of the whole song.. The beautiful melody sung by Hatsune Miku is very nice to listen to.. This song is good when you are trying to relax as it has this calm feeling when you listen to it.. I like this OneRoom person, his songs are quite nice to listen to..

Now let us move on to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 初音ミクオリジナル曲「Scene」: This is the 4th song by OneRoom to make it to the TOP 3 position in Vocaloid Weekly #52.. This isn't another slow-paced song like the others but instead this is a rock song.. I simply love the guitar playing together with the tunes of the song.. Also, the chorus is very nice to listen to and Hatsune Miku sings quite well in this song.. Do hear this song.. ^^

2nd Place - 【初音ミク】shiningray【オリジナル】: A rock song by Hatsune Miku.. The drum beat is very nice to listen to.. Don't let this song fool you.. The song is very catchy while the rhythm of the song is great.. The chorus of the song is simply amazing, especially the guitar playing together with the drum beat.. It is so beautiful that I've added it to my MP3 player.. xD

1st Place - 初音ミク　が　オリジナル曲を歌ってくれたよ「ワールドイズマイン」: Better known to everyone as "World is Mine".. The song, made by Ryo, has again made it to the TOP spot once again.. I've expected this song to reach the TOP spot again as it keeps going up and down in the rankings.. Anyway, Ryo's songs are always very nice to listen to, especially "Black Rock Shooter", "Meltz" and also this song too.. Well, what more can I say? This song is pretty awesome.. ^^

Well, I guess that Ryo's songs do have the ability to reach the TOP spot once again after such a long time since their debut releases.. His songs are simply amazing to listen to, maybe who knows, some of his other songs will catch up to "World is Mine"? No one will know till the next Vocaloid Weekly..

I now take a liking to the Kagamine Twins' songs as they are now very beautiful to listen to compared to a few weeks ago.. Songs like 【鏡音レン】悪ノ召使【中世物語風オリジナル】 and 鏡音リン・レン・ミクでオリジナル「きえないひとみ。」PV付き will mesmerize you with their beautiful melody.. Well, Im not a Kagamine Twins fan but at least I get to listen some nice songs from them.. ^^

Well, after the Hell Week, I am now "slightly" free to do my own stuff.. I must prepare myself for this week's tight schedule; chalet + internship briefing at Singapore Polytechnic.. Very stressful but I can manage it unlike last week where I almost died of boredom.. xD

Well, thats the end of this week showcase of Vocaloid Weekly.. I hope you enjoyed listening to the songs.. I shall go prepare myself for a console session at my friend's place near Harbourfront.. Its been a long while since I met them after school ended more than a month ago.. ^^

Hell Week

It has been a rough week for me as Hari Raya clashes with some of my schedules, including doing my blog entries.. I also have to plan the Hari Raya for my school friends soon.. It seems that I have other problems to take care too.. =3

The problem is that my laptop's charger adaptor is releasing smoke again.. Must be some loose wirings burning the rubber insulation.. This isn't good news as a fire might occur.. Need to get a new adaptor for myself later in the afternoon.. This is one HELL WEEK..

Speaking of Hell, Jigoku Shoujo Season 3 or better known as "Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae" is already out in Japan.. I will get some free time to watch the show.. The new season is very interesting.. A MUST WATCH for everyone.. xD

GSC Kagami Suzuka and New Line Kanu Unchou School Swimsuit Open For Reservation

Another good news for everyone.. Good Smile has made an announcement that the 3rd figurine from the Muv-Luv game; Kagami Suzuka is now open for pre-orders..

Good Smile Company has already shown us the whole set for this game series.. The first figurine, Mitsurugi Meiya was released earlier last year while the second figurine; Yashiro Kasumi was just announced a couple of weeks back..
I kinda like this figurine since she looks lovely holding the heart.. And her outfit is also as shiny as Yashiro Kasumi..

Well, the 1/8 Kagami Suzuka is now opened for reservation at Hobby Search for only 6500 yen which is about SGD$90.. Quite a decent price considering the shiny outfit she is wearing.. Celebrating Hari Raya 2008

Once again the festival is finally here.. Its the festival where we visit our grandparents and granduncles/aunties, some living at faraway lands.. Families will drive whatever vehicles they own, from cars to bikes to even trucks just for the sake of travelling around.. ^^

Well, that is just the partial reason for Hari Raya.. The other reason for Hari Raya is the "green packets" that are filled with moneys (Usually about SGD$2, SGD$5 or SGD$10).. The larger your family with most of them as working adults, the more money you can collect.. xD

Well, the money I've collected will be used partially for paying for the things I have/will have for the month of September and October.. Well, here are the list of items:

Kei's Gallery ArtBook

I didn't expect to get this easily since it used to be on sale in Japan and at best at Amazon Japan.. But thanks to Kinokuniya and Feidamu, I've manged to obtain it.. Well, I do need to pay him for getting me this artbook.. ^^

Well, the main reason for wanting this book for quite a long time is the contents of the book.. It has artworks of Kei himself (obviously) with a first few pages dedicated to Hatsune Miku artworks..

Very nice artworks indeed.. I love it.. ^^

Well, other than just the Hatsune Miku artworks, Kei also did other artworks, some of them are just random while some are from animes themselves like Gainax's "FLCL".. His artworks are simply amazing..
Well, I will recommnd everyone to get this artbook even you are not a Hatsune Miku fan.. There are alot of artworks that is beautifully done and totally looks amazing.. I will do a review on this pretty soon.. ^^

1/10 Francesca Lucchini PVC

Yeah, this was actually not what I planned to get during September but due to this offer at Hobby Link Japan (HLJ) here, me, Nanopulp and Feidamu wanted it so bad.. So in the end, I somehow managed to rake up more bills to pay for.. At least she looks cute..

GSC 1/8 Hatsune Miku

As a Hatsune Miku fan, I as a Miku Guardian pre-ordered it as soon as it was opened for pre-orders.. I wasted no time in getting it.. What can I say? I love how shiny her outfit are shiny (quite a rarity since only some gets it..)..

Thats all the items that I'll be using some of my Hari Raya money for.. Well, that is why I hate buying on impulse.. Can't control myself.. =3

With the remaining money I have, I've decided to gives some Hari Raya money to everyone living at my home, especially Figma Miku..
However, Hachune Miku saw what was going on and wanted to get the Hari Raya money too.. xD
Well, before I could give Hachune Miku another "green packet", Figma Miku was very kind to give Hachune hers.. Hachune was so excited when she got it, though the "packer" seems abit big for her.. -_-;
At least Hachune Miku loves it.. Figma Miku loves to see Hachune Miku smiles, thats for sure.. ^^

I hope you enjoyed your Hari Raya holiday.. I enjoyed mine the best.. I do wonder why there are fewer people set up "Lampu Kelap-Kelip" this year.. Must be due to electricity bill.. xD

Hatsune Mix Vol1 Chap7

Another month has passed and I read the latest Hatsune Mix so far.. Xenosium was pleased to post a translated edition of Hatsune Mix Chap 7.. I am grateful to Kimatg for doing so.. ^^

Back to the story at hand, in this month's Hatsune Mix, we get to see the Hatsune Miku and the Kagamine Twins finding jobs to pay for their own concert.. Well, usually they have the money beforehand..

The reason is that Kaito spent all the money buying ice creams for his "business".. So off they go finding jobs..
Well, they really search all possible jobs available to them.. One of them which Hatsune Miku took was being an Elevator Girl..
But what she didn't expect was the number of people going into the lift and telling her which floor they are going.. Because of that well, things didn't go well.. -_-;;
Due to that, she had to find other jobs.. Well, here we have Miku working as a voice actress.. Its pretty funny looking at her expression..

Anyway, theres also an appearence by Yowane Haku and Akita Neru in this chapter.. Do find them in some of the pages.. ^^

Well, other than just Hatsune Miku looking for the perfect job, even the Kagamine Twins were looking for some good jobs, but failed somehow.. xD

Well, in the end, Hatsune Miku and the Kagamine Twins managed to collect enough money for them to do a concert.. They were very eager to show Meiko the money they received.. Well, that is one happy ending...

Vocaloid Weekly 51 - Road-Rolled by Kagamine Twins

With the weekends taken up by the Smexy September Figure Shoot, I had to delay this entry about Vocaloid Weekly #51.. The shoot was fun but since it was a test for the coming October event (will be revealed soon), I think that it was a success, although most of us who were there didn't really bring a beach-related figurines.. -_-;;

Well, in this week Vocaloid Weekly, we get to see more songs coming in as per usual.. But what you didn't expect is that most of the new songs are actually by the Kagamine Twins.. Yes, you heard me right.. And the weird part is that the Kagamine Twins' songs such as 【鏡音リン】Transmit【オリジナル10】 or 鏡音リン・レン・ミクでオリジナル「きえないひとみ。」PV付き are actually better than some of the songs sung by Hatsune Miku or Kaito..

26 - 【鏡音レン】悪ノ召使【中世物語風オリジナル】: A romantic song sang by the Kagamine Twins.. It pictures the love between Kagamine Rin and Kagamine Len.. Well, don't put it as incest, think of it as brother-sister love... Anyway, the duet by the both of them makes this song very lovely and entice you to continue listening to it completely.. I do love the background pictures, very nice indeed.. ^^

25 - 初音ミクdeオリジナル曲「僕ラノセカイ」-Ver.1.0(旧版): A rock song by Hatsune Miku.. The beat is awesome and I love how the drum is played.. And Miku sounds nice singing this song, I must thank the person who made this song.. ^^ This song is perfectly fit for an anime OP truthfully.. I like this song and I added it to my mp3 collection..

17 - 【初音ミク】BRIGHT RAiN【オリジナル】: A very beautiful trance song by Hatsune Miku.. The song is very catchy while the beat to the song is great.. A hip song for those who like something to dance along.. This song can also cheer a person up.. I got stuck to this song after listening to it.. Its now played like 200 times since its showcase on Vocaloid Weekly #51.. ^^

12 - 【VOCALOID数十人分】春日通り【オリジナル】: A very lovely song sung by the original Vocaloid family, including Gackpoid.. The slow but mesmerizing song is well made plus it is a so-called "family" song, it is a rarity to have that.. I do love the picture of the whole gang together.. A very memorable song indeed.. ^^

Now let us move on to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 初音ミクオリジナル曲　「Θ」: As stated in last week Vocaloid Weekly, I still find this song abit weird.. I seriously didn't find this song catchy or interesting.. The instruments playing in the background are rather annoying in a sense.. Other than that, the girl is just cute.. xD

2nd Place - VOCALOIDでニコニコ動画流星群【完成版】: As expected for this song since its been on TOP spot for the past couple of days.. But I don't mind, this song is still nice to listen to even after many times due to its variety of songs in it.. I also like the pictures and animations inside it as it somewhat fits each different type of songs perfectly except for the "Yatta!" song.. xD Well, you never know it might go back up again in rankings? ^^

1st Place - 【鏡音リン】Transmit【オリジナル10】: Congratulations to this song sung by Kagamine Rin.. This song is great to listen to and its the song is superbly well-made.. I love the chorus as it is very catchy and the tune will let you enjoy the song even when you are feeling down.. It is good to see one of the Kagamine Twins song in the TOP spot after such a long time.. Who knows, this song will stay on for another week? You never know.. ^^

It is a pity the new songs by Hatsune Miku and Kaito were abit disappointing.. I expected them to be good as previous Hatsune Miku and Kaito songs.. But I don't mind such disappointment since there are such good songs still in the rankings like 【初音ミク】BRIGHT RAiN【オリジナル】 and 初音ミクdeオリジナル曲「僕ラノセカイ」-Ver.1.0(旧版).. Those songs are awesome..

Smexy September Figure Shoot

Looking at my whole figure collection, I was thinking real hard.. "What figure should I bring for the figure shoot?" was my initial thought.. I didn't know what to bring for the latest Team Blue figure shoot..

Well, at least we decided on the location a few days before the figure shoot.. We've decided to do so at Sembawang Beach at Sembawang Park.. Its located at the northern part of Singapore with a great view of Johore.. ^^

Back to figurine, the reason for me deciding so long was that I didn't own any beach-related figurines (I want to but its due to my parents not liking those one bit..) since the theme was "Beach" this September..

However, since I do not own any beach-related figures, I've decided to bring along Figma Hatsune Miku along..

Yeah, even though I didn't have the time to review her yet, I still brought her along to the shoot because she is more suitable than the other figurines/figmas I have at home..

Another reason is that Squee aka Sam brought along the Detroit Metal City (DMC) gang to the figure shoot.. So bringing along Figma Miku with her accessories suits both of us well.. ^^
While the DMC gang prep themselves for a concert later, Figma Miku sing up a few songs for us, borrowing a DMC guitar in the process.. xD

While Miku and the DMC gang prep fully for a concert, I took the liberty to walk to where Jon aka Wcloudx, Panther and DS were.. They were taking some beach shots with their figurines..

One of them is Al Azif, brought by Jon..
And here we have Dead Snake's Nendo Puchi Frog Mikuru.. Kawaii~~
Then we have Panther's Mitsuki Hayase.. Very smexy indeed.. ^^
Chibihien brought his figurine along for the figure shoot too; Reinforce Zwei.. Very MOE indeed..

Now it is time for...

DETROIT MIKU CITY (DMC)!!!!

After a few minutes of preparations, they are ready to rock out with all their might.. We found a stage big enough for the concert to begin..
We have the Hatsune Miku together with the DMC gang; Johannes Krauser II the leader of DMC, Camus the drummer and Alexander Jagi, DMC's bassist..
We could see Miku being the lead singer for the day, raising one of her hands high while holding the mic stand..
On the left we could see Alexander Jagi rocking on with his Bass guitar..
We have Camus playing greatly with the drums.. ^^

It was not only awesome, it was totally superb.. We didnt expect Miku to do that anyway.. The good thing is is that the mic that she is holding on still stays when she went upside-down..
Even though the concert was fun, it was abit annoying to Nanoha who was passing by.. She didnt like the music so much that she aimed her Blaster at the concert..

Well, it has been a fun time at the Sembawang Beach.. We were there from 4pm - 7pm.. The 3 hours worth of figure shoots + the concert was well worth it.. The pictures weren't much but hey at least we get to enjoy it..

Hatsune Miku Cosplay (HQ)

A week has passed since the CosCon @ Games Convention Asia 2008, I thought that I would have to wait for a few more months to the AFA08 to maybe catch a glimpse of a Miku cosplayer.. But my wait is over..For now at least.. ^^

Thanks to MikuFan, I found some High Quality (HQ) photos of Hatsune Miku cosplayed by Ibara-san.. Click on the pictures to view the enlarged version of them..

A very well-made and detailed costume I have ever seen.. From her main outfit to her sleeves, all very detailed indeed..

The small details like the “01 Hatsune Miku” tattoo on her arm make this one almost perfect... ^^
I wonder how much does the wig cost? It looks very smooth, it looks so real.. And it's hair colour is almost similar to the original Hatsune Miku's hair colour..

September Figure Shoot Plans Finalised

Well, Team Blue has finally decided on the location of the group upcoming figure shoot 2morrow.. After some loooong discussion, we have decided to have it at Sembawang Park..

The meeting time is 3 PM 2morrow (Saturday), the 27th of September, at Sembawang MRT station control. Look out for Squee. He will be the most obvious person to spot there (You'll know when you reach there..)..

If you need his number, please ask Panther in IRC or over email (pantherrh -at- gmail -dot- com) for it and I will pass it to you.

We welcome people from all over to join us in this figure shoot.. For those coming with figures, bring an appropriate figure... For those not coming with figures, bring appropriate chat material or something to enjoy...

Max Factory Figma Tohsaka Rin

Having some free time, I have finally decided to post a review of the Max Factory Figma Tohsaka Rin I've been wanting to post for quite a long while.. Well, it has been a couple of weeks since I received her from Hobby Search via Wcloudx..

So who is Tohsaka Rin? Well, she is one of the heroines in Fate/Stay Night series.. She is a friend of Emiya Shiro, master of the ever-famous Saber..
For a start, Figma Tohsaka Rin or I would like to call her Figma Rin; came with a serious expression like she is pissed about you and wants to kill you if you make her really angry... xD

Instead of using my N82 cameraphone, I tried using the Olympus FE-270 camera in Macro mode to take pictures of Figma Rin..

The picture came out clearer than I've expected since I thought the camera sucks at taking normal pictures due to it's lousy anti-shake application..

Anyway, Figma Tohsaka Rin cost me about 3400 yen which is equivalent to SGD$45... That is inclusive of shipping fees.. She arrived 3-4 days after her release in August 29th I think..

Figma Rin didn't have any problems/defects when I got her and when I did the figure review.. Hope this applies to other figmas and figures as well.. ^^
So Figma Rin took out one of her 2 daggers that comes together with the box itself..
However, Figma Rin wasn't feeling happy and decided to what I thought was a "/wrist".. I tried to stop her but I was too late.. o.O
Fortunately, what I didn't expect is that Tohsaka wanted to show me her Rune-Hand to me but couldn't pull up her sleeves.. So she was forced to cut part of the sleeves on her left hand to show the Rune-Hand..

September Figure Shoot Plans

It has been 3 months since Team Blue went on a group figure photoshoot.. The last group figure shoot was organised at Toa Payoh Town Park located near the HDB Hub at Toa Payoh Central.. The theme back then was "Nature" which fits the nature of the park (Duh)..

During the last group figure, I brought along my Nendo Hatsune Miku which I recently get back then thanks to Hirito..

Well, it was my first time to have attended a group figure shoot and I gained some experience in how to take a nice picture, etc..

This time however, will be about "Beach".. Yes, that's right, Beach.. Panther has decide that for this month we should do a Team Blue group figure shoot.. The problem is however is location, location, location..

So I've come up with a voting plan on which beach is suitable for this weekend.. Oh yes, the groups figure shoot will be held this weekend, though we are not sure whether to hold it on Saturday or Sunday..

Anyway, let us start with 4 locations I come up.. The 4 places are:

Vocaloid Weekly 50 - The Innocence of Kagamine Rin

Well, it has been abit late for me to post Vocaloid Weekly 50 this week.. Reason is due to the Games Convention Asia 2008 event which was held from last Thursday till last Saturday which I had me and my brother, Infestor51 attend to for 3 days straight..

Well, in this week's Vocaloid Weekly, we get to see some songs don't actually require the music to be nice but it's more of the lyrics that count.. Or vice versa for some... Examples would be "【初音ミク】（；`・ω・）チャーハン作るよ！" and also "【森之宮先生】　森之宮神療所☆彡　【動画つき】".. There is also a Kagamine Rin song which was very nice to hear; 【鏡音リン】Transmit【オリジナル10】.. More on that song below.. ^^

23 - 【初音ミク】「コントロールパラメータ」オリジナル曲: This song, also known as "Control Parameter" starts out with a very nice percussion being played which then transition to a very catchy tune.. Well, Miku's melodic voice will makes you want to listen to this song.. Anyway, the animator makes the music video very unique with the picture following to the beat of the song, yet keeps it very simple..

21 - みんなで協力して初音ミクに「笑顔」を歌ってもらった: A very sad and emotional love song by Miku.. It is about a girl who pick up a SUPER CHIBI Hatsune Miku who is a hamster in the song.. The story starts off as moody which shifts to a very sad tune.. I do love the part where the super chibi Miku tries to run on the hamster wheel but ends up tripping and spinning in it.. Do watch both characters at the foreground of the music.. Their expression keeps changing according to the scenes in the MV..

17 - 【森之宮先生】　森之宮神療所☆彡　【動画つき】: A very weird but very unique song I might say.. The song starts off with a tune from the Super Mario RPG song.. The song will leave you breathless during the chorus.. IMO, I think the song is about escaping from freedom of some sort.. I will need to translate the lyrics to find out the true meaning.. Anyway, I love the animation in this video.. As I've said it, it is very unique while the song is very catchy..

12 - 【初音ミク】生きて散るだけ【オリジナル】: A rock song by Miku.. Although the song starts out slow, it will gradually pick up with the drum beat and nice tune playing alongside the musical keyboard.. This song feels like it fits well with a RPG game, especially the ED of the game.. Well, this song is good if you do would like to change from those fast songs you've been hearing for awhile..

09 - 【初音ミク】（；`・ω・）チャーハン作るよ！: Also known as "Let’s Make Chinese Fried Rice", this song is well, funny in a sense.. This song is about Hatsune Miku trying to make the best Chinese Fried Rice.. She will do anything to cook the best fried rice, from fixing the wok, to cooking the rice on a larger frying pan and etc.. Well, the video looks very cute and I love how the Miku is drawn.. =3 This entertaining video is a must watch..

Now let us move on to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 【初音ミク】おなかすいたのうた【オリジナル】: Another weird song I might say.. The song wasn't as good as I hoped it would be.. I think it is the lyrics that make this song good.. I need to once again translate this song to understand the story well..

2nd Place - 【鏡音リン】Transmit【オリジナル10】: A song by Kagamine Rin.. Well, this is the only song by the Kagamine Twins in the TOP 30 for Vocaloid Weekly #50.. The beautiful music will entice you to listen to the whole song which picks up well at the beginning till the end.. I like the chorus, it is very catchy and the tune will let you enjoy the song even when you are feeling down.. This is one song I would recommend to you all, even if it is not a Hatsune Miku's song.. ^^

1st Place - VOCALOIDでニコニコ動画流星群【完成版】: Ok.. What can I say about this? Its still rox!! Well, what can you expect? This song is already in its 3rd straight week on TOP Spot.. Well, if this song stays for one more week, I could say that this song is EPIC.. Well, the whole song will never get boring even after you listen to it about a thousand times.. xD

Another great week passed by with more new Vocaloid songs to listen to.. Finally the wait is over as the Kagamine Twins or in this case Kagamine Rin made a comeback with a very nice song, 【鏡音リン】Transmit【オリジナル10】..

It was nice listening to VOCALOIDでニコニコ動画流星群【完成版】.. The problem is that how long will the song last.. it is already in its 3rd week and I think some people are already getting sick of listening to that song ( Except me of course :P ).. Again, I would like to apologise for the late posting of Vocaloid Weekly #50.. Got held up due to GCA08.. Well, I was pretty much playing the pre-released version of Dead Space lol..

And yes for the past 3 days of the event.. The game was nice and exciting.. Better than Doom3 I might add but not sure whether my laptop can handle it..

As for now, I shall head to bed to catch some shut eyes after playing SPORE for so long.. It is so addictive.. =3

Games Convention Asia 2008 (Cosplay)

Well, after taking a quarter of a day to sort out, clean the GCA08 images the best I could and resize them, I am finally ready to post them.. Well, the CosCon @ Games Convention Asia was held just yesterday (Saturday)..

The convention was partially covered with cosplayers who want to show their outfit and also to join in the CosCon competition which I will show you all later.. So anyway, I went there with my brother, Infestor51, together with his friend, TX at about 10.30am..

I met up with Feidamu and we scour around for any signs of cosplayers.. Fortunately in the wee hours of the convention, we spotted a Lich King cosplayer who is apparently, Fei's friend.. So I took some shots of the Lich King with his "short-handed" Frostmourne..
We continued walking around and took more pictures of cosplayers who started to stream in at about 12pm.. Enjoy the pictures.. ^^
Well, I expected Loli Illyasviel von Einzbern cosplayer or Illya for short to return but what I didn't expect was that there is a Loli Saber too.. O.o

Yes, you heard me right, there are now two Lolis from the Fate/Stay Night series.. Their dress looks nice and pretty that they got praised by some people when they walked around..

Well, the photographers thinks the same way too.. This might be one of the good loli cosplayers around since Loli Haruhi from CosFest.. ^^

Well, even the SWAT team and Delta Force group were there to show everyone their stuff.. I like how their weapon looks, so accurately real..
Ok at about 2pm+ it was time for the CosCon competition.. Well, I didn't expect the cosplayers to be great but I was slightly wrong.. Well, lets move on to CosCon copmpetiton..

CosCon Competition:

There are about 20 cosplayers who took part in the competition.. There were some weird and downright ugly cosplayers but there were some that was unique and interesting..

Examples are the Head-Crab character from the game "Half-Life 2"..
The Blood Elf from World of Warcraft..
The Knight Templar from the game "Hellgate London"..

FOR THE LIVING!!

And some of the audience favourite's, Lelouch..

So firstly the 20 cosplayers are cut down to 10 finalists.. After that, the 4 winners are chosen from the 10 finalists.. The Top 4 winners are as follow:

4th Place: Kasumi for "DOA".. Prize is a Gaming Chair..
3rd Place: Blood Elf.. Prize is a Gaming Chair too..
2nd Place: Lich King from WoW.. Prize is a Wii..
1st Place: The Hulk in Armour aka Thrall.. This is the best prize EVER!! The prize is a ticket to BlizzCon2008 at California..
After that, its back to cosplay photoshoot.. Enjoy.. ^^
Well, at least my my question have been answered when I saw some decent Vocaloid cosplayers.. There were the Kagamine Twins..
But thanks to Ruby-san, I finally saw the best picture of Miku-chan.. She was there during the convention.. Although I took my own pictures of Miku, the pictures weren't as good as the other better photographers..

Uber Loots from Games Convention Asia 08

After a few hours coming back from the 2nd day of Games Convention Asia (GCA) 2008, I managed to sort out the loots from all the freebies me and my brother got during the games convention.. Well, this is pretty much what we got for the past 2 days, ranging from games to stationary..

Our parents got a shock when we brought home the freebies.. First up, we got these games from just registering our names to get the pass for public access.. Standard procedure which just began this year..

Anyway, games above; Tabula Rasa and Guild Wars: Eye of the North are Pre-Order/Pre-Release Bonus Pack so not that amazing.. But the good thing is that at least I get to try out Tabula Rasa MMO.. ^^

Next up, we got the freebies from countless booths.. I have 2 notebooks, 1 calender and 2 small "Sengoku Musou" file holder..
Other than just "Tabula Rasa" and "Guild War", there are other free-games that comes with the goody bags from various companies.. This yeat, there are so many games that are given to us compared to last year.. xD
Last but not least, we've got a Gunbound mousepad, 2 small pens and a "WWE Smackdown" handphone strap..

Well, it took us awhile to sort of the loots from the rest.. I think it will take us another longer time to pack them up somewhere nicely without making a huge mess.. My parents hate messy areas..

I am going to go for today's GCA08; 3rd day straight for me and my bro, Infestor51.. This time however, there are cosplayers who will come down and showcase their outfit.. There will also be a cosplay competion held at 2 - 3.30pm later today..

Games Convention Asia 2008 (Games)

Another year means another event has just arrived.. Well, what event am I talking about?? Well, it is the Games Convention Asia which once again is held at Suntec City Convention Centre from 18th-20th September.. This is an event I must not missed out.. ^^

Well, as the title of the event sounds, it is generally showcase anything to do with games; PCs, Game Companies, Online Games, Pre-Released games, etc.. For a start, here are some of the many companies that have joined in making this convention a success..

EA and Nintendo, some of the few game companies expected by many to be in GCA08..

As being a newb to this convention, I went to Electronic Arts (EA) booth to check out some of the games that are already out and also some pre-released games that let users try out before the full release later on..

I get to try out my first EA game in GCA08 which is "Dead Space"; a very sadistic-killing sci-fi game where decapitating an enemy is a MUST to prevent them from backstabbing you..
Next up is "Mirror's Edge".. Well, nothing much to say except that you do jump over/under obstacles and avoid getting shot by police through the art of Parkour..

The game was a demo so need to play the full version to see the full review..

Then there are EA Sports games which I just looked at.. I can say that graphic has improved over the years for such sport games.. Moving on.. :P
"Crysis Warhead", a sequel to "Crysis" is another interesting game to play.. I had a blast killing enemies using my character's abilities.. I can even hold a jeep and throw at a horde of machingunners.. xD
Then we have the "Need For Speed: Undercover".. Looks quite similar to "NFS:Carbon" but at least graphics has improved.. Sadly, this demo only have 4 missions to play.. After that it is just free-drive around the city, thats all.. o.O

Another game I expect to be good..

Now, this is a game I was waiting to get my hands on for GCA08.. It is very fortunate that EA decides to put 2 booths for Red Alert 3.. Even though it is in beta, there is an online-play where you can pit yourself with other people online..
The best part about this demo is that all units and buildings are at your disposal, no cuts, no negative stuffs.. I played against my bro, Infestor51 in this game and I emerged victorious.. \m/
The graphic and detail is awesome.. The water effects is amazing, looking at the waves afecting the position of the ships, even if they are stationary..

After satisfying myself with all those EA games, I made a move to check out the other booths that are available during the convention..

First up was a long stretch booth of so many online games set up by Cherry Credit, a company which allows you to purchase game cards to buy cash items for the games they service.. ^^

I heard that the number of games 10-fold from 5 games last year to 50 games this year... Thats freaking alot.. xD

This is supposed to be a tournament area for pro-gamers to battle it out to emerge as champion.. Unfortunately, I was not in the area or was busy playing game to notice when the tournament started..
From here on, I shall let you see the res of the good pictures I took during the convention.. Enjoy!! ^^
Me and Infestor51's friend, TX playing the latest game on X-Box360 and PS3; "Star Wars: Force Unleashed".. It came out just on the first day of the convention itself..

The best Star Wars game I've played ever.. The game is pretty imba but still fun.. ^^

StormRise: A 4-in-1 Games All Rolled Into 1

Browsing through the Gametrailers site, I chanced upon this RTS game which interest me.. The game, named StormRise, is a RTS game being developed by Creative Assembly and Sega..
Well, you can say that it is a 4-in-1 type of game, having characters that are maybe inspired from older games such as "Dawn of War", "Doom 3"/"Gears of War", "Mechwarriors" and "Predator"..

Why did I say all of those games? The reasons are stated below so do read on..

StormRise picks up the popular post-apocalyptic theme, presenting a civilization that has begun to once again emerge after a catastrophic event... You have the ability to control units in the air, on the surface, and even underground...

So why did I say that StormRise takes its idea from 4 different games? Well for a start lets look at "Dawn of War".. Apparently, one of your main objectives is to take over a node which is energy source in the game..
Once captured, you can place a building on it to collect the energy as resources.. The building can even transform into a defence turret to defend against enemy raids.. Does this feels like "Dawn of War" to you?? ^^
Then there are some units belonging to a faction that has features which resembles those from other games.. 1st example is the cloaking assassins which can sneak behind enemy lines and slaughter any infantries who are busy defending a node or base..

The unit looks almost similar to the Predator.. But I find it cool since its been a long time since I saw a cloaked assassin-based unit in Starcraft..

Then there is the giant monster which can become a huge front-liner + tanker.. It resembles monsters from Doom 3/Gears of War whatever your pick..
I like how it becomes the target for enemy fire when its sheer size can take a lot of damage, judging from the video itself.. Well, we have to see more videos of this game to know more about this unit..

Then lastly, we have the Mechwarriors.. Woah.. Giant-killa beast vs. Mechwarriors; Mechwarriors win..

Their design looks sleek and outright futuristic.. It reminds me of Battlefield 2142 though.. xD
Well, I can expect this mech to have a weapon switch ability so that it can switch attack between anti-infantry to maybe anti-air/anti-tank.. Well, the game is still in development stage so there might be alot of changes going on with the units etc..

StormRise is slated to be released in 2009.. It will be released not only as a console RTS game for X-Box360 and PS3, it will also be released on PC too.. Awesome..

Lonely September Cleaning

Another season sets in and I am feeling abit stressed out.. Apparently I cant find my receipts for the GSC 1/8 Hatsune Miku and 1/8 Beats Haruka.. Thinking they might be in the piles of ~~rubbish~~ books/files, I went ahead to start my first Autumn-Cleaning..

But looking at that makes me decide that I had to clear up any trash so that I wont misplace anything else in the future..

Man, that looks messed up..

Well, it wasn't hard getting those junks out of my shelf.. The hard part was sorting out the real trash from the rest..
Among those trash I did find some stuff worth keeping, for a longer while that is.. One example is this; a guide book for the Singapore Toys & Comic Convention and 2 Tofu-man toys..

Wanted to give the toys away but there were no takers.. Pity.. Well, if anyone wants it you can PM me via chatbox..

Next up is these 2 Granado Espada Invitation Card.. Yeah, you heard me right.. These cards were given for the launch of the game how many moooons ago.. The launch party was held at Zouk and well, I didnt get to enjoy the party..
The contents of the envelopes... The card was well-made.. Too bad the game didn't catch on with everyone, thought the OST was good.. ^^

Now BEHOLD, I recently discovered my very old book back in the primary school days.. It was my Gamefaqs of the old days.. Back then, friends kept asking me the cheat codes for alot of games.. This was my secret weapon back then.. xD

Well for example, I scanned this page filled with Age of Empires 2 cheats.. Well, I doubt anyone is still playing this game when there is AOE3..

So after sorting the trash from the rest, I placed the trash into the plastic bag provided.. Well, the trash filled up about 3 small trash bags..

Seriously, I just realised that I have been keeping too much junks in the house.. x.X
I did summon help from Sword Impulse and Force Impulse to do the sorting for me.. Doing all this work all by myself will take hours to accomplish.. xD
After 1 hour of mass cleaning and sorting and with the help of the Impulses, I have finally managed to clear up alot of spaces from the shelf..

This means that I have enough space to place my figmas, especially Figma Hatsune Miku.. Well, thats all I have for today.. And yeah, I finally found my 2 receipts for the 2 figures.. ^^

So how about you?? Do you do your Annual Cleaning of your room?

As for now, I think I better take a rest from all of that work.. Too much energy was drained during the 1 hour period.. :(

Games Convention Asia 08 Event

Another weekend just passed by and I am feeling that this September holiday isn't exactly a holiday at all.. Anyway, September does have a fair share of good events to go to.. One example is the upcoming Games Convention Asia 2008..

As per usual, it is held at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Centre, the main convention area for most events held this year like the Singapore Toys & Comic Convention and the World Cyber Games..
Well, the GCA held last year was very interesting and fun.. Me and my bro, Infestor51 were having a blast playing alotof pre-released games (back then) like Crysis, Sims Societies, Medal of Honour: Airborne, Need For Speed: Pro Street..

Playing Crysis before it's release was totally awesome.. And its for free.. ^^

Medal of Honour: Airborne.. Another game showcased in GCA07..

Well, going for such event doesn't really mean we played games all day right?? Well, thats where you are wrong.. We got tons of freebies and also prizes from contest we volunteered ourselves to join..

Here is what we got at last year's event:

1. Razer Merchandise - 1 T-Shirt, 2 big stickers and 2 Razer dog-tags..

2. Countless posters from alot of companies.. I preferably like the "World in Conflict" poster.. And..

3. A Cherry Credit digital clock with built-in internal lights.. Awesome..

Well, there were more freebies we got but I forgot all about it.. :P

Well, other than that, it is still games galore.. Alot of pre-released games will be shown there.. Expect games like Dead Space, C&C: Red Alert 3, Need for Speed: Undercover, Mirror’s Edge, Crysis Warhead, FIFA 09, FIFA Online 2 and MySims Kingdom..
For this year's event, expect more good games by companies such as EA, Nintendo (courtesy of Maxsoft Online, the official distributor for the company in South-East Asia) and THQ and KOEI who will be represented by their distributor Replay Interactive...
Other than international companies, there are also local companies like Asiasoft and Cherry Credit.. I wonder what games will they be showcasing this year.. Can't wait for it.. ^^

This year however have an additional event which is going to be held on Saturday.. It is the CosCon event where cosplayers will come and compete against one another for the top prize..

Well, there are also the cosplayers who will be walking around the convention.. Do bring along your camera; DSLR or not when you come to GCA08..

Having cosplayers like this would be interesting.. :P

The event will commence this Thursday and ends on Saturday.. The Opening hours are:

18 SEPT 2008: 11.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.
19 SEPT 2008: 11.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.
20 SEPT 2008: 11.00 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.

Figma Hatsune Miku GETTO

Yeah, I finally got my hands on Figma Hatsune Miku after it just arrived a few days ago.. It was shipped to Panther since he pre-ordered for me through Hobby Search (Thanks a million)..

Well, as I reached home, I wanted to take out the paper wrapping when someone poked my back.. It was Hachune Miku who must have seen me bringing Figma Miku into my room..
Without a moment to lose, Hachune quickly opened the paper wrapping which comes with the box during the shipment.. And happily she did, revealing the contents of the box..

Hachune Miku was so happy to see Figma Miku that she keeps hugging the box.. o.O

I am also happy to see Figma Miku since she was one of the hardest figurines to pre-order.. She was also the fastest to be released after the pre-order date..
Well, I would be doing a figure review of Figma Miku when I am free.. I still have the Team Blue banner to finish.. Due date is on the 23rd September and this is the first time I ever made a banner all by myself.. x.X

Vocaloid Weekly 49 - Cinderella Story

Yes you heard right, Levan Polkka has make a comeback since its released a year ago..

It starts out as a orchestra playing the music, having the drum beat joining it a few seconds later.. This song is fit for an anime OP or ED.. The piano playing beautifully at the background in some part of the song makes it awesome...

29 - VOCALOID2 初音ミクに「Ievan Polkka」を歌わせてみた: What more could I say? This EPIC song is one of the few songs that made Hatsune Miku famous.. And also this song created the character named Hachune Miku, the cutest Miku so far.. Anyway, this song is pretty old, I mean really old like a year ago? Well, it is good to have the song back at the Vocaloid Weekly TOP 30 charts..

27 - 【初音ミク】will be...【オリジナル曲】: A very nice and catchy tune by Hatsune Miku.. A well-made song with percussion playing in the background.. Another song worthy to let you relax after a hard day at work.. Although there is no video for this song, the picture of the Miku still looks decent enough for me to save it into my computer.. :P

22 - 初音ミク・KAITOオリジナル「灯～ともしび～」: A duet by Hatsune Miku and Kaito.. This slow and emotional song might make some people cry.. The music is quite nice to listen to and the piano playing in the middle is quite sweet.. I especially like the chorus of the song, very energetic, with Kaito humming while Miku is singing.. A very unique song indeed.. Another song into my iPod Shuffle Gen 1..

07 - 【MEIKO】Cradle Of Destiny【オリジナル】: A very beautiful song sung by Meiko.. The catchy tune and the cool sound beat makes this a wonderful song.. Although the face doesn't look like the real Meiko, at least the song makes up for it.. And I like the title of the song, very interesting.. This songs sounds like an insert song in an anime.. Her voice is composed nicely, making this song another worth listening to..

Now, let us move on to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 【初音ミクKAITO】サンドリヨン（Cendrillon）【オリジナル09】: Another duet by Hatsune Miku and Kaito.. A song about Cinderella; Miku being Cinderella while Kaito as the Prince.. This song has some catchy beat and tune, with the piano playing along.. I simply love the art in this music video.. Also are the art of Kaito and Miku; love her princess dress.. This song will simply mesmerized you, I promise.. Anyway, do watch the whole song to see the twist at the end.. Might be a shock to some.. ^^

2nd Place - 初音ミクオリジナル曲「未来の歌」: A very refreshing song, you thought it might bore you to death in the first place.. However, that is not the case.. This song have such beautiful tune and the drums playing along makes this song very unique.. With pictures changing with the song, you simply love it.. Well, didn't make an effort into listening to the whole song though.. Will do it later I guess.. :P

1st Place - VOCALOIDでニコニコ動画流星群【完成版】: Wow.. This song is still EPIC.. Well, as same as last week, this song is a compilation of most of the Nico Nico Douga songs.. This time however, a composer named "AWK" made a same rendition of the song, this time using the whole original Vocaloid cast.. I do wonder if this song will stay in 1st Place for another week.. It is an awesome song.. ^^

Another great week passed by with some new Vocaloid songs to listen to.. I am still wondering why there isn't any Kagamine Twins' songs in the TOP 30.. Will wish to hear at least one from them such as 【鏡音リン＆初音ミク】　逆さまレインボー　【オリジナル・PV付】 a.k.a. Reverse Rainbow.. Now that song was awesome back then..

It was nice to listen to 【初音ミクKAITO】サンドリヨン（Cendrillon）【オリジナル09】.. The twist at the end was unexpected but overall I like the song.. That MV is just mesmerizing, no doubt about it..

Yes, you heard it right.. Figma Hatsune Miku is getting a re-release by Max Factory, this time it is slated for the November release..

She will be retailed at about 2500 yen or at about SGD$34.. Pre-orders for her are now open at Hobby Search.. Those who didn't get to pre-order Figma Miku the previous time, this is your chance.. ^^

I think I would get my First Release Figma Hatsune Miku in a few days time according to Hobby Search via Panther.. Anyway, thanks to Panther for pre-ordering her for me.. ^^

Gatchaman CGI Remake Announced

Old-school anime fans who watched animes way back in the 80s should remember this one (other than just Gunbuster or EVA).. "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" or as it is known in Japan as "Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman" will be made as a CGI movie..

Yes, it was shown here in Singapore long ago as "G-Force: Guardians of Space", it showcase 5 young superhero ninja in the employ of Dr. Kozaburo Nambu of the fictitious "International Science Organization" to fight against a group of technologically advanced villains, known as Galactor, from trying to take control of the earth's natural resources...

Characters in the show (Not in any order): Ken Washio, Joe Asakura, Jun, Jinpei and Ryu Nakanishi..

Seems abit typical anime series to you right? Well, it is one of the more successful Henshin Super Sentai-type series that spawned many other five-hero team series..
I could still remember the good old days when "G-Force: Guardians of Space" was shown here.. The characters weren't even called by their original Japanese names..

Their name were changed: Ken Washio as Ace Goodheart, Joe Asakura as Dirk Daring, Jun as Agatha June, Jinpei as PeeWee and Ryu Nakanishi as Hoot Owl.. o.O

Hatsune Mix Vol1 Chap6

After waiting for 2 months, I finally got the latest Hatsune Mix (Chap 6).. This month marks as a good month, or to some, the Hatsune Miku's Month to release the Hatsune Mix manga..

Well, let us get into business.. ^^

For this month's Hatsune Mix, Miku is seen quarreling with Kaito over getting the gang a new computer because they are having a lot of problem with the Vocaloid program using their old computer (Seriously old, with CRT monitor)..

Even as Miku begged at Kaito to do so, he would not agree to it.. As a result, Miku felt angry and went into cyberspace in search of a new owner that have a very nice computer with good specifications..

She left in a rush, without saying any goodbyes or whatsoever to Kaito or the Kagamine Twins..
The first person Miku spotted to have a good computer specs is no other than Meiko.. Miku tried her best to introduce herself but judging by Meiko's drunkenness, it wasn't a good way to start..

Look what she did to Poor MIKU!! :(
Anyway, other than just the usual appearance of the standard Vocaloid team, there are also special appearance by Akita Neru as a pre-school teacher..
And Yowane Haku as one of the pre-schoolers.. Kawaii~~
Anyway, due to so many misfortune happened as Miku travelled around the world through cyberspace, she decided enough is enough.. She went back to the Vocaloid gang, however in a dreadful state..

This feels like "The Ring"..

So what happened after that? Well, you have to go read it to find out.. ^^

Max Factory Figma Fate Testarossa

Well, it has been a month since I got her and finally I got a chance to review Figma Fate.. Well, here goes nothing..

This is Fate T. Harlaown from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS. I would like to apologize beforehand for the low quality images.. And I seriously screwed up on the lighting, so it’s not as bright as it could’ve been...

I got to play around with her, equipping her with different weapons that comes with her.. As per usual, Figma Fate comes with 5 pairs of hands, one side is the normal glove she usually wear and the other side is the metallic glove..
Instead of using my dad's N82, I used my old Olympus FE-270 camera to take pictures of her.. Reason is because that the camera has a macro function which works way better than the N82 (but fails in normal shots ^^;;)..

It has been like a full 2 months since I touched the Olympus camera because it has failed me alot of time during cosplay events which has pictures becoming too blurry to see..

Cape:

I particularly like the cape that comes with her.. Apparently there is a small special contraption which you attach to the stand so that it can hold the cape up in place while Fate is fighting..

Weapons:

Now here is where things get interesting.. Figma Fate comes with 2 weapons, the interchangeable Bardiche head (Harken Form), and the Bardiche Assault weapon (Zamber Form)..

First up, let us see Fate wielding the Bardiche head in Harken Form.. A pretty cool-looking scythe which she used as one of her many skills in the anime as well as the recent game, "Magical Battle Arena"..

"Becareful where you point that camera!! You might get hurt pointing the camera too close to my weapon."

"What are you staring at?? Get LOST!!"

I took a liking to Fate's interchangeable face and front portion of her hair.. Changing from a nice and friendly look to a more Battle-Cry facial expression says it all..

Now onto her next weapon, the Bardiche Assault weapon in Zamber Form.. One word to explain everything about the weapon, EPIC!!

The sword is like 1.5 times Fate's height and looking at the weapon itself, I thought that she might not be able to hold the sword upright.. But as I equip the weapon to her, it seems that my guess were wrong..

Now, Fate is now has that GAR feeling when she is holding the Zamber sword..

FEEL MY AWESOMENESS!!" -_-;;

This sword shall pierce through the heavens!!

Well, thats all I have for my figure review on Figma Fate.. Although the image quality is lousy, I did manage to learn how to set to the correct camera settings to get the best picture, for my camera that is..

Well, this is not the end of this week figure review as I still have Figma Tohsaka Rin to review..

SPORE Launch Event at Funan

Just came back a few hours ago, bringing home 2 packages from the event itself; the SPORE Launch Event at Funan IT Mall at City Hall.. As avid gamers, I went there with my brother, Infestor51 on our quest to get the free goodies (Like we always do)..

So we arrived at the event at about 11am where we got to try out the full release of the game provided there (there were 5 stations to try out the game)..

So what is SPORE? Well, for a start, is a game by EA Maxis where player is able to control the evolution of a species from its beginnings as a unicellular organism, through development as an intelligent and social creature, to interstellar exploration as a spacefaring culture...

Well, after playing the game like 6 hours, I got the hang of the game.. I so far managed to reach the Civilization stage where my creatures are able to capture or ally with other cities..

Cute right?? xD

I particularly like the vehicles creation mode.. I can make my own vehicle anyway I like it.. This is my prototype vehicle for the SPORE game.. It was called "Icarus"...

Now that is EPIC vehicle..

So other than just going there to solely play the game, we were there to collect our goodie bags/package from the event itself..

UNIQLOCK, The Madness of Time

Recently, my bro; Infestor51 got a new screensaver on his laptop from his friend and he decided to show what it was.. Thinking that it was just some plain old screensaver that anyone can make, I wanted to take a quick glance and then go back to my own work..

The quick glance turned to a long stare as I watched the unique screensaver.. The screensaver is called "UNIQLOCK" or simply known to some, "UNIQue-cLOCK".. It is an viral advertisement by UNIQLO (meaning Unique Clothing), a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer...

Well, looking at the picture above, YES, it has women dancing along and doing things in sync with the music.. The first five seconds will have you looking at the time ticked by while the next 5 seconds will have you looking at the women doing stuff.. This is a repeated cycle which is IMO quite interesting..

Well, it doesn't really mean that you will see the same dance moves over and over again.. The dance moves will eventually change over a period of time.. Lets take a look at examples below:

At 12.30PM:

The women are enjoying with their dances..

At 6.59PM:

The women are still dancing happily with the music.. ^^

However at 12.25AM:

The women are fast asleep in the library.. Kawaii~~ xD

Now let us move on to the next section of this unique screensaver.. Why is this called a viral advertisement? Well, for a start, it already has 3 fashion seasons for the screensaver.. What do I mean by that? Lets take a look shall we?? ^^

Figma Tohsaka Rin Preview

A few days ago, I got a msg from Wcloudx aka Jon aka KoF, saying that my figma Tohsaka Rin from Max Factory has arrived at his house.. So I went to collect it from him last Monday and got home to play around with her.. Being alone for 1 month holiday isn't much fun, really.. x.X

So overall, I find figma Rin quite interesting, having said that she has her rune-hand and those small discs she is holding in between her fingers.. (Look below)

I have yet to try every pose she can do judging by the back cover of the box.. Her fighting style is quite amazing.. I think I need more time to see what other poses she can do other than what is shown.. ^^

Anyway, a few weeks ago, I did say that I received my figma Fate from Mahou Shoujo Nanoha series.. Although I played around with her, I didn't get a chance to review her due to school exam a week after I got her..

Such a pity since I saw alot of people reviewed her already..

GSC Yashiro Kasumi Opened For Reservation

Wow, this is good news.. Good Smile Company has announced that the 2nd character of the game Muv-Luv Alternative; Yashiro Kasumi will be now available for pre-orders..

One of the MOE character in the game (which I didn't play yet), I like how she looks.. Having twintails (I am a Twintails lover), she looks kawaii~~

I like how her suit shines, this must be one of the very few figures/figmas that have shiny outfits such as figma Miku and the upcoming 1/8 scale GSC Hatsune Miku..
I like the stuffed bunny that comes with her.. It really looks like those bunny bags that some people love to carry around.. It makes her more MOE than ever.. x.X
Well, she is now opened for reservation at Hobby Search for only 6800 yen which is about SGD$90.. Quite a decent price considering the shiny outfit she is wearing.. Maybe the quality used to make her is of higher grade, who knows..

I saw the entry from Wcloudx that this figure was shown during the Summer Wonder Festival 2008, and is also the second figure to be released from the series, with Mitsurugi Meiya as the first earlier last year...

GSC also gave us a sneakpeek on their 3rd figure from the series; Kagami Sumika which they have yet to announce.. She looks very nice holding the Heart on her hands.. Very unique is a sense..

Looking at last week entries, it seems that Hatsune Miku's birthday was celebrated across the globe with news of the figma Miku and then the PSP game she is going to be in.. Now other than just those news, there are also Hatsune Miku music videos which are released at Nico Nico Douga just a few days before (28/8 ~ 31/8) to commemorate this wonderful occasion such as 【初音ミク】8月の花嫁【オリジナル曲】 and 【初音ミク】8月の花嫁【オリジナル曲】..

Some of these songs were very famous that they got featured in this week Vocaloid Weekly's rankings.. And the great news is that some of those songs are ranked within TOP 5, even having one of them earning the TOP Spot.. x.X

This music at the beginning of the Vocaloid Weekly TOP 30 spots starts off at a beautiful tune, making me want to watch the whole music video.. Having the piano and a guitar being played at the background while Miku is singing is simply amazing.. You ought to listen to this song..

28 - 【MEIKO】咲音メイコ「星のカケラ」【カバー】: The only Meiko song in the chart but nevertheless this song is wonderful to listen to.. Meiko's melodious voice might blow you away with the slow and harmonic music being played.. The person who made this music video must be congratulated for making such a wonderful song.. This song is good for those who are studying for the upcoming exams..

22 - 【初音ミク×3】「ありがとう。」【オリジナル】: One of the few songs that were made just to celebrate Hatsune Miku's birthday.. An emotionally slow song which can cheer you up if you are feeling down.. The artwork is beautifully made, with me scouring over the internet looking for some of them.. Overall, this lovely song is also a must for those Miku fans out there..

17 - 【ロリコム】本当に大事なのはひとつだけ【初音ミク・オリジナル】: A music video featured by Vocaloid Weekly #47 last week during half-time.. It has risen from rank 35 all the way to rank 17 in just one week.. Apparently it has to do with Loli Miku chasing a star... The song is quite catchy and the tune is great to listen to.. I personally like how the Loli Miku was drawn.. Very kawaii~~

06 - 【初音ミク】8月の花嫁【オリジナル曲】: My favourite Miku's birthday song this year.. The song is also known to most as "August Bride".. A very nice song with beautiful lyrics (which I still having a hard time understanding).. The wonderful music makes this one of the best Miku's birthday ever and it is well-known by the world when the song was released 2 days before the special occasion.. And I specially like when the composer added a birthday song in the credits.. Quite nice of him to do so..

As per usual, lets move to the TOP 3 songs in this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 【初音ミク】　ペヤングだばあ　【オリジナル曲】: Ok, I got to hear the full song and here is my verdict.. The song is... MEH.. Although Hatsune sings quite alrite in this song, I just don't like how they let her sing the chorus.. It feels like she is high on drugs or something when she is doing so.. But other than that,the music is alright..

2nd Place - 【初音ミク】みくみくにしてあげる♪【してやんよ】: Also known as the EVER FAMOUS "Miku Miku Shite Ageru", this song is one of the most earliest songs made using Hatsune Miku.. This song is making a comeback and is now has a view hit of over 5 million.. That is more than any other Hatsune Miku videos I've ever seen.. It may also surpassed most videos on Youtube in terms of hit views.. What more could I say? This song rox!! ^^

1st Place - VOCALOIDでニコニコ動画流星群【完成版】/Nico Nico Vocaloid Suite: I find this new song the best Vocaloid MAD music video.. It is actually taken from an original MAD music videos sung by many people.. This catchy yet nice song will tempt you to sing along with the song.. This song can also be said to be one of the songs made to celebrate Miku's birthday as I stated earlier.. This is a MAD song deserved to have taken 1st Place.. ^^

This week Vocaloid Weekly is filled with many new songs, not just Hatsune Miku but also from Meiko and Kaito.. I still wonder where are the songs by the Kagamine Twins in the TOP 30 ranks.. Some songs are very nice to listen to while others are given a skip by me.. But hey, don't let this stop you from listening them no? You might take a liking to them, who knows? xD

But seriously, I find VOCALOIDでニコニコ動画流星群【完成版】/Nico Nico Vocaloid Suite one of the best song yet.. I like how the composer remix some songs and added the voices of the original Vocaloid team into each songs perfectly.. I like how he end the songs with "Let's Go! Onmyouji" from Shin Gouketuji Ichizoku mashed up with other songs.. Simply amazing...

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA Updates (PSP)

I know I am quite slow at showcasing this but hey at least I did it at the end.. Anyway back to topic, Sega has finally released a video trailer of the PSP game; "Hatsune Miku Project DIVA".. They also released some screenshots of the game close-up..

I am very happy to see Hatsune Miku in her own game.. What more could you ask for right??

Well, the game features the Rhythm Mode gameplay which you must press the correct button according to the buttons shown which sync with the songs sung by Miku.. There are also furniture collection to customize her room, and a video maker to make your own 3D music videos... Sega is also collaborating with Piapro, so user created songs will be included...

Success in the Rhythm Mode will earn you items to decorate Miku’s room, the center of the game... Finally these two modes ain’t the only ones in the game and more will be revealed soon...

Singapore Cosplay Matsuri 2008

Another month passes by and another event was organised, this time it is the Singapore Cosplay Matsuri 2008 held at VivoCity yesterday.. Music Matsuri which took place the day before was meh, and since it was raining quite badly, there weren't any huge crowd gathering around the stage..

So anyway, going back to Cosplay Matsuri.. It is one of the events when cosplayers come together and showcase their repective characters that they are cosplaying as.. From D.Grayman to Bleach to Fate/Stay Night.. ^^

Even though the cosplay competition starts at 4pm, the cosplayers were already at the event place as early as 12pm.. The place was packed with cosplayers, photographers, random ppl and families by 2.30pm..
So I took the liberty to take some shots of the cosplayers during the Cosplay Matsuri.. Without further ado, I shall let you see the pics.. Can you try guessing some of the characters they are cosplaying?? xD
Well, other than just cosplayers, there was someone who brought his figma collection to the event and take some shots of them..
There were figma Konata, Fate and Nanoha..
Last but not least we have the special figma Suzumiya Haruhi on her own bike.. How cool is that?? ^^

My dad's N82's battery life at this point of time (4.30pm) was at critical mode.. I decided to take every single cosplayers, new or old with the N82 before it goes dead, which it did in 1.5 hours time.. -_-"

Celebrating Hatsune Miku's birthday with a Big Bang!!

Today is a very wonderful moment for every Miku fans out there.. Today marks the birthday for Hatsune Miku.. To be precise, it is her 1st birthday according to the year she was born into this world (2007)..

It has been 1 whole since she was born as a voice synthesizer program where people could just use her voice to make songs that they composed.. However, most of us didn't think she would become very famous unlike Kaito and Meiko; the 2 characters from Vocaloid 1 voice synthesizer series..

Well, since then, alot of songs have been made using the program.. She is now very famous, even in the shores of tiny Singapore.. I could have sworn some random person was wearing it during CosFest.. xD

This year have been a great year for Hatsune Miku, may the next be even better! I don’t know what to say, other than Happy Birthday Miku! Your voice cheer me up when I am feeling down and also entertain me with those nice melodies when I go to and from school by train.. A million thanks for everything Miku!! ^^

Other than just words, every Vocaloid's music listeners do know that a new song was just released yesterday by the OSTER Project team.. They made a song, 【初音ミク】8月の花嫁【オリジナル曲】 / 【Miku Hatsune】August Bride 【Original Song】 which coincides with Hatsune Miku's birthday..

The song is pretty amazing and the best thing is is that the song became the winner of Nico Nico Douga’s Daily Ranking... According to Kevinay, The makers of the Weekly VOCALOID Ranking in Nico Nico Douga is making a Yearly Annual VOCALOID Ranking.. They’ll begin counting the points as of tonight...

Vocaloid Weekly 47 - Between Light And Dark

Well, I must apologise for posting this entry on Vocaloid Weekly slightly late because there are so many recent news and announcements about anything Hatsune Miku.. First there is the GT Itasha, then the Miku on PSP and just yesterday the announcement that the figma Hatsune Miku is up for pre-orders (which on same day closed due to it being fully booked..)..

Back to topic at hand, in this week Vocaloid Weekly, we get to listen and see some Vocaloid songs that are cheerful and lively (LIGHT) while there are some that are emotional and sad (DARK).. So its a battle between Light and Dark, best competition personally would be between 「モノクロアクト」　オリジナル曲　vo.初音ミク（PV仕様） and 【初音ミクオリジナル曲】ＳＥＴＳＵＮＡ【PV付】..

28 - 初音ミクが自作曲　『竟』　を歌いやがった: A music worth listening.. It has a unique medieval tune, which is quite lively if you listen to it long enough.. It has that feeling that makes you want to listen it a second time.. Trust me, I thought the song was weird but as I continue to listen further on, I got hooked to it and I wanted to listen to it again..

24 - 初音ミクオリジナル曲　『Breeze』: A very nice, relaxing music, enabling you to feel calm while playing your game, say DOTA?? LOL.. But it does have a very soothing tune which you can listen to when you are going to take a short nap.. And I like how the piano is being played, very smooth and energetic..

21 - 「モノクロアクト」　オリジナル曲　vo.初音ミク（PV仕様）: Also known as Monochroact, a very mesmerizing song that can leave you deciding whether this is a lively song or a very sad song.. From my point of view, this is about Miku having a depression or some sort, judging by the grey, black and white overall.. I like the music as it shows both side of Miku.. Anyway, I like when they begin the whole song with a tape being played.. Very original.. ^^

14 - 【鏡音リン＆初音ミク】　逆さまレインボー　【オリジナル・PV付】: More known by my bro as Reverse Rainbow, a very lively duet by both Hatsune Miku and Kagamine Rin.. I like the artwork they make and the transition between each scene is awesome.. I was amazed that this person have time to make both video and song, having said that he have to do a solo on Miku and Rin themselves.. Overall, this song is one of the best yet..

11 - 彼方まで虹を架けて【初音ミクオリジナル】: A very happy song that leave you wanting more.. Its like one of those INSERT songs in one of those romance anime sort of thing.. A very catchy tune plus a very nice chorus.. Judging by listening to it, I say that this song does have potential to go up the rankings.. Who knows, right?? xD

Let us move on to the TOP 3 of this week Vocaloid Weekly:

3rd Place - 【初音ミク】　ペヤングだばあ　【オリジナル曲】: A very hip song with catchy tune.. Picture of the cute Miku tempted me to listen to the whole song.. The rhythm of the song is unique while the beat is funky.. Ntg much to say since I got bored halfway and closed the page.. -_-"

2nd Place - 【初音ミクオリジナル曲】ＳＥＴＳＵＮＡ【PV付】: Well, what can I say about this song? it has been most people's favourite for some time already and it has gone up 1 rank to be in 2nd place.. The song is just very nice to listen to, I doubt you ever miss it anyway.. The artwork is visually stunning plus just by adding overlays on a pic is pure genius.. It is as good as 初音ミクがオリジナル曲を歌ってくれました「Last Night, Good Night」 (Pity this song went down the rankings..).. Im hoping that this song will get 1st place for next week..

1st Place - がくぽに鬼畜眼鏡を歌ってもらった(full ver.): This spot for this week Vocaloid Weekly is taken by the powerhouse, Gackpoid.. Although no animation is needed, the song managed to clinch the TOP Spot 2 weeks in a row which is quite rare to see.. Usually it is those music with animations that stays on 1st Place for quite awhile like 初音ミクがオリジナルを歌ってくれたよ「ブラック★ロックシューター」 a.k.a. Black Rock Shooter.. Well, Gackpoid must be having his good luck for this 2 weeks.. Will he continue to stay in TOP Position? We will see..

Well, looking at some of the songs, I am sure some of them will go up the rankings.. It is hard to tell who will take the TOP 3 spots just like last week Vocaloid Weekly #46 when the song がくぽに鬼畜眼鏡を歌ってもらった(full ver.) came out of nowhere and take 1st Place.. There are also some new songs that took the TOP 10 spots in this week Vocaloid Weekly so expect the unexpected.. xD

Figma Hatsune Miku Open for Reservation

The wait is finally over.. Everyone's dreams of wanting to hear the announcement of the pre-order for figma Hatsune Miku has been answered.. Max Factory finally announced that she is now available for pre-order.. ^^

If you have read my previous entry about figma Hatsune Miku, it shows that she comes with her own microphone, which comes with its own stand.. Now how great is that..

Other than just the mic, she also comes with not one, but 2 leeks to go with.. This feels that that .gif I saw a while ago when Hatsune Miku swings around with 2 leeks.. xD
I simply like Miku's outfit, quite shiny I might say.. It adds to the uniqueness of the character.. I prefer to see figma Miku up close personally.. The details on her outfit are well made..

So anyway, the figma Miku is opened for reservation as of today at Hobby Search(HS).. However, the bad news is that it is limited to 1 person only, which Wcloudx told me earlier today.. :(

Fortunately, Panther also have an account on HS and I asked him whether he can do so for me.. Well, I shall await for his news whether he received the confirmation email from them.. Thanks Panther.. ^^

Anyway, figma Hatsune Miku will be available as early as September 10th, 2008, just few weeks away, by Max Factory for 2,500 Yen which is about SGD$32 retail price...

The reason why it’s early is probably to celebrate Hatsune Miku’s birthday, which is on this Sunday, 31st August.. I hope I get my WP site online on that day.. And it will be a great disappointment if I cannot obtain her.. :(

"Re:Package" [Livetune feat. Hatsune Miku]

It seems that the time has finally come.. The much-hyped Hatsune Miku music album, "Re:Packaged" by Livetune featuring none other than Miku herself is already out on the market just yesterday.. It is good news since Miku's birthday is just 3 days away(Its on 31st August).. ^^

Apparently the album was so famous that it was almost on top of every ranking, on it’s first day of release.. Now that is simply EPIC.. Anyway, which rankings am I talking about?

Well, first of all is the advertising box called “Nico Nico Ichiba”, which you can find at the bottom of the video page.. There are products that are related to the video itself. People could then click on this and buy it from Nico Nico Douga's partners (such as Amazon Japan).. In most Hatsune Miku videos, this usually points to the "Re:Packaged" album..

Wow, it seems that Touhou is still the winners too.. They took the 2nd and 3rd spots in "Nico Nico Ichiba".. Well, their songs are awesome too.. ^^

Well, there you have it, the rankings for "Re:Packaged" from 2 good sites.. I wonder how the other website will rank the album.. Looking at those rankings already tempt me into buying the album, seriously..

Anyway, back to topic at hand, the album featured many Hatsune Miku songs made by "kz" and "kajyuki", 2 of the many best composer for Hatsune Miku.. They are quite good, believe me..

Hatsune Miku Project DIVA (PSP)

Well, you guess it right.. Sega apparently announced that a PSP game for Hatsune Miku is currently under production and will be scheduled for released at 2009 (Thats pretty long)..

Judging by the pictures, it seems that it is like a cousin of the popular iDOLM@STER.. The details and the gameplay looks similar, but hey, this is Hatsune Miku we are talking about right? ^^

From my point of view, it seems that there is a room customization feature (see top picture).. I think this is a very cool and unique feature since you can customize Miku's room to suit your taste..

Well, at least Miku is going to be the main character of the game, not just an add-on or an extra unimportant character like in 13 Sai No Hello Work DS or PangYa! Japan...

Famitsu reports that the game is currently 40% finished.. Well, I shall let Sega take their time to make this game.. I do not want this game to turn out bad.. ^^

The good news is that this game will be on PSP.. I am so happy to hear this news.. First there was the iDOLM@STER game which will be released on PSP and now this.. I think this news is awesome since it almost coincide with Miku's birthday coming soon..

Who knows, maybe the announcement for figma Miku might come on her birthday as well?? xD
